Can I volunteer to help Rebirth?
Yes, Rebirth’s volunteer network is expanding as we implement our long term plan. Please contact us with any questions or ideas regarding how you may be able to help us.
Do you need goods and services along with money?
Yes, particularly if you are involved in film, media, the arts, or the travel or lodging industry. We have many generous corporate supporters who have provided us with critical in-kind donations and our budgeting is focused on ensuring that our creative team has the equipment and resources to film as much as possible of the living history that we are trying to capture.
How can artists help Project Rebirth?
Until the public release of our documentary, we are faced with the challenge of conveying the compelling stories of our subjects without showing the footage we have captured to broad audiences. In the years leading up to the release of our documentary, we will be looking for artists who may wish to help us meet the challenge of telling their stories through artistic expressions, for example through music or visual arts that could be featured on our web site and at Rebirth events that we host throughout the year.
Where is my donation going?
The main elements of our budget are the potential 15 years of time-lapse filming we are planning for, the cost of sending film crews to record events in the lives of our subjects, the annual interviews we conduct which run from 3-5 hours for each subject, and film storage, editing and the related components of producing the highest quality film possible. Donations and sponsorships will help us complete the film in progress, which has both short and long-term artistic, educational, historic and therapeutic value. Virtually all of our funding is applied to maintain and re-load the 13 time-lapse cameras around the WTC site, to send film crews to the WTC site to record major developments, to conduct interviews of Project Rebirth’s subjects on the anniversary of 9/11, to send film crews to record major events in the stories of our subjects, and to employ the creative team to plan, implement and ultimately craft our documentary film and media. |
